General Anthony Wayne, after  portrait by Charles Willson Peale. The General’s portrait was painted c. 1783 with him in full Revolutionary War uniform, rank of brevet Major General. Artist Charles Willson Peale (1741-1827) is best known for his portraits of important figures of the American Revolution.
